The golden discount tags you are seeing in the screenshot below show the discount score in them.
The number represents the percentage savings offered on LockTrip compared to publicly available offers on other sites (e.g. booking or expedia)
Of course not all deals can offer such extreme savings.
This is why the tags are coloured dyncamically for different discount levels.

In the map shown below you can see a view for a random district of Paris, with the pins colored in different shades of purple, depending on the discount level of each listing.
A darker shade means a higher discount score, while white pins can either mean that the estimated discount is 0% or that there isn’t enough data to calculate the score.

Listings with a golden pin have extreme discounts.
They are rare, but finding one can ease your travel expenses considerably.
A more dominant example is a zoomed-out view for Dubai. Below you can see plenty of listings with golden pins, distributed across the city.
